What if you could become one of the most trusted real estate practitioners without spending 26 years in the business? What if you could have clients seek you out that you've never met?
Welcome to the power of FB Groups.
This post isn't going to be about how to set up your own Facebook Group, nor the - rather, it's going demonstrate the power of Groups and why you need to be active in them.

First Group - your community group. When I moved to our rural county (65,000 people, 1 actual town and a few "census designated areas") I knew about 10 people. When I started with real estate, I needed to up my game.
Luckily, our county had a well developed social media network, and this is where they communicated. So, I started communicating. I communicated on social media, and I made friends on social media.
Communicate actively in any discussion about homes, land, etc, with the intro phrase "Realtor here...". I've commented on new developments, tideland rights, mortgage convos, etc.
Also, comment on normal things - like gardening questions, mechanical fixes, whatever - let your name regularly appear in the social groups - always positive, no opinions, please!!!

Second Groups - Where you sell your homes. I belong to dozens of groups throughout the 6 counties that I work in. I belong to equestrian groups (I don't own a horse), specific HOA neighborhood groups (that I don't live in) and the community groups for each of the areas.
This is where you'll promote your listings. By joining ahead of time, you're ready for the launch of your listings. If you think you'll be listing waterfront or farm properties, think about where those buyers might move "from" and then go there to be ready to invite them.
You don't need to be active in these groups, this is simply to have your "marketing spaces" all set up for your listings.

Third Group - Your group. This is one you are going to Admin. I go over this in other posts (How to set up your Facebook Group, How to Farm your Facebook Group, 3 things to Post to your Facebook Group) but you'll want your own group to make friends and be the real estate expert in.
Now, you should be able to join at least 12 groups today - not counting your own group. Social media should be a part of your lead generation each day. Commenting, reading, posting. Yes, when you're scrolling though your Facebook feed, you're "working" now.
This is Simple, not Easy.
